Description of the painting by Jean Baptiste Corot "The Hay"

The painting "Wagon Hay" was painted in 1860. The basis of the painting was canvas, made using oil technique, size 32x45 cm. At the moment, the painting is stored in the State Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin, in the city of Moscow. During his creative life, the author has written more than two thousand paintings. Koro loved and respected nature very much. He works in the field of the so-called national landscape, describing the nature of the area in which a simple person lives his life.

The central place in his landscapes is occupied by people, however, nature itself plays an important role, many of his paintings describe the picturesqueness and beauty of nature. It is worth noting that when portraying Italian nature, he used ancient mythological characters.

The masterpiece was painted during the heyday of the artist. Describes everyday activities, the center of the picture shows a wet road after a rain in a field along which a wagon with hay rides. In this, the artist looked in this poetic image. Drops from just passed rain glisten and shimmer, giving the image romance. Trees moist from rain, whose branches tremble from the wind, a wet road, a moving cart with hay, and fast-moving clouds inspired the artist to create an image. Light strokes, which painted the picture, convey the dynamic and changing life of nature, give airiness and lightness to the clouds, they seem to float in the picture itself. Simplicity and at the same time the genius of the plot make the picture special, giving it romance.
